Clinic Spotlight: Hope Clinic
Providing Specialized Care Through the Power of Community
Access to healthcare shouldn't depend on whether someone can afford insurance. For thousands of Utahns, Hope Clinic provides a place where compassionate, high-quality medical care is available regardless of a patient's financial circumstances. Through the dedication of volunteer healthcare professionals and community partners, Hope Clinic continues to bridge critical gaps in Utah's healthcare system by providing specialty care that many uninsured patients would otherwise go without.
During our recent visit, the Globus Relief team had the opportunity to meet with Hope Clinic staff to better understand their programs, current supply needs, and how donated medical supplies can continue strengthening their mission.
A Community Built on Service
Hope Clinic has spent more than two decades serving Utah's uninsured population, growing into one of the state's largest volunteer-run medical clinics.
Today, the clinic provides:
10,000 patient visits annually
Care for more than 140 patient a day
17 medical specialties
Support from 225 volunteers
100% volunteer-operated with no paid employees
The clinic's volunteer physicians, nurses, specialists, interpreters, medical assistants, laboratory staff, and community volunteers work together to ensure patients receive comprehensive healthcare at no cost.

Delivering Specialized Care
Unlike many free clinics that focus primarily on primary care, Hope Clinic provides patients with access to a wide range of specialty services that are often difficult to obtain without insurance.
Patients have access to services including:
Orthopedics
General Surgery
Plastic Surgery
Podiatry
Urology
Gastroenterology
Cardiology
Women's Health
Physical Therapy
Laboratory Services
Primary Care
This broad network of volunteer specialists allows patients to receive the care they need in one coordinated system rather than delaying treatment because of financial barriers.
Helping Resources Go Further
Providing specialty healthcare requires more than volunteer physicians—it also requires a reliable supply of medical equipment and consumable supplies. By helping clinics reduce these operational costs, Globus Relief allows organizations like Hope Clinic to invest even more of their resources directly into patient care.
Through nonprofitmedicalsupply.org, Hope Clinic has been able to access donated medical supplies that support the clinic's day-to-day operations while helping stretch its limited budget.
Over the course of our partnership, Globus Relief has provided Hope Clinic with a variety of essential medical supplies, including:
BSI (Body Substance Isolation) materials
Wound care supplies
Orthopedic braces and splints
Chux pads
Surgical supplies

These donated resources support everything from routine patient visits and wound care to orthopedic treatment and surgical procedures, allowing Hope Clinic to continue providing comprehensive care to thousands of Utahns every year.
During our recent visit, the Hope Clinic team shared that the nonprofit medical supply portal has become a valuable resource for obtaining medical supplies and expressed interest in expanding its use as inventory continues to grow. They also noted that broader product availability would allow them to rely on the program even more frequently.
Current areas of ongoing need include:
Surgical supplies
Orthopedic supplies
General medical consumables
Every donated supply represents another opportunity for a patient to receive timely, specialized care without the burden of additional medical costs.
Strengthening Utah's Healthcare Safety Net
Hope Clinic is one of many nonprofit organizations working every day to ensure quality healthcare remains accessible to those who need it most.
Globus Relief's nonprofitmedicalsupply.org portal has empowered Utah's healthcare safety-net clinics and health centers to save 80–100% on their medical supply costs, helping them stretch limited resources and expand access to care across the state. Utah's charitable and community health centers serve an estimated 220,000 Utahns annually—a vital part of the healthcare system that helps prevent unnecessary emergency room visits and addresses gaps for those outside traditional insurance networks. Globus Relief acts as a nonprofit medical supply HUB—connecting donated medical supplies from Utah's large healthcare providers to Utah's healthcare safety-net system.
By connecting surplus medical supplies with organizations like Hope Clinic, Globus Relief helps ensure donated resources remain in Utah communities, supporting nonprofit clinics that provide life-changing specialty care every day.
